Conor McGregor's much-anticipated return to the UFC has been cancelled.

The former two-division champion was scheduled to take on Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303 on June 30 (AEST) but has withdrawn due to injury, according to UFC president Dana White.

Instead, the main event will now see Alex Pereira defend his UFC light heavyweight title against JiYi Prochazka..
